Summary

Are you passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through food? We are hiring a Cook to join the kitchen team at the historic Downtown Hotel in Dawson City, Yukon--a one-of-a-kind destination in the heart of Canada's North.

In this role, you'll prepare and serve high-quality meals across a variety of services, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. You'll be part of a hardworking and welcoming team that takes pride in delivering fresh, consistent, and satisfying food to our guests.

Guests consistently enjoy well-prepared, great-tasting meals, contributing to positive reviews and repeat visits.

Food is prepared efficiently and presented with care, meeting quality and safety standards.

Kitchen operations run smoothly thanks to your organization, teamwork, and communication with front-of-house staff.

Health, safety, and cleanliness protocols are followed at all times.

Inventory and supplies are maintained to support uninterrupted service and reduce waste.

You contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture.

What You Bring To The Role

Experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a breakfast or hotel environment

Ability to work flexible shifts

Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting

A positive attitude and passion for hospitality and food service

Knowledge of food handling, safety, and cleanliness standards

Team mindset - able to support others and communicate effectively
