Duties
Prepare and cook full meals or specific dishes with attention to both taste and visual appeal.
Adjust recipes and substitute ingredients to meet customers' dietary needs and personal preferences.
Work with management to create and launch special menu offerings or seasonal promotions.
Determine proper serving sizes and estimate food expenses.
Oversee food prep for catering services and special occasions.
Order ingredients and kitchen supplies to ensure consistent inventory levels.
Maintain cleanliness and compliance with all health and safety regulations in kitchen and food service areas.
Ensure dishes are prepared and served promptly during meal service.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience cooking in a commercial kitchen
Skilled in food prep, cooking techniques, and safe food handling
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail
Team player with good communication skills; Vietnamese language skills are a plus
Comfortable using various kitchen tools and equipment
Adaptable to changing needs, including special menus and dietary requests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Education:
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
