Job Description

The IOOF has recently embarked on the largest capital project in the IOOF's history, with the launch of a $1.2 million redevelopment campaign to expand the facility to a 226-bed long-term care home. This transformative revitalization will create 64 new long-term care beds and 66 upgraded beds, modern spaces, updated equipment, private rooms, and increased square footage.

Qualifications:

Graduate of a Culinary Management Program or Certification as a Cook and have Red Seal

Safe Food Handling Certification and Smart Serve Certificate Grade twelve or equivalent; Two (2) years' working experience cooking meals for large groups of people; An understanding of the Aging Process and how it applies to the dietary needs; Qualified knowledge of therapeutic diets; Good knowledge of Public Health sanitation methods in the handling of food; Excellent interpersonal skills; Good written and verbal communication skills; Self motivated, organized and conscientious;
