We are a small rural family restaurant located in Havelock (The Ridge Restaurant), we are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be able to multi task, follow direction, trainable, maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals.
Make sure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
Food preparation such as peeling, dicing, slicing, portioning food.
Work with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and the food is cooked correctly and food presentation is adequate.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is not required. Training will be provided.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
We are open Monday to Sunday from 8am to 7pm. Our shifts are 7am-2pm, 12 noon-7pm or 2pm-7pm. Pay rate is $17.50 per hour.
We are looking to hire one full time cook with 30-35 hours per week or two part time cooks with 2-3 shifts a week.
