Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook and Server to join our team in a new North American restaurant. This dual role requires a passion for food and customer service, as you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals while also providing exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting and contribute to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Serve food and beverages to customers with a friendly and attentive demeanor. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring satisfaction throughout the dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help maintain inventory levels by reporting shortages or needed supplies to management.

Skills

Previous experience in the food industry is needed, particularly in roles related to cooking or food service. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others, both in the kitchen and front-of-house operations. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
