WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Cook 3 to join our culinary team

This is an exciting role to apply your culinary passion and create flawless dining experiences for our guests

What is expected of me in this role?

Create memorable culinary experiences for each of our guests, to Hyatt standards

Performing all basic and intermediate cooking skills including but not limited to, preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying and broiling

Successfully manning multiple stations on hot and cold cooking lines and departments within the culinary department

Highly motivated, able to work alone, give direction in the supervisor's absence and inspire others

Prepare meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients to Hyatt specifications

Assist in menu design, specials and creation of recipes

Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintain temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.

Teamwork oriented and engaging - striving to support team to reach common goals

Flexible availability to allow most effective scheduling within department

Valid work authorization for Canada

Experience

3 years of previous culinary experience working in professional kitchen setting

Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred

Ability to guide entry level and intermediate cooks towards most professional approach to work

Banquets experience preferred

This role will typically allow a minimum of 30 hours per week

The starting hourly rate for this role is $22.50CAD per hour
