Are you interested in joining a culinary team that works together to create a variety of different menus that align with our major exhibitions and our clients needs? Are you skilled at moving around a kitchen and multi-tasking? Do you have experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques? Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario (\xe2\x80\x9cthe AGO\xe2\x80\x9d) is one of the largest art museums in North America, with a collection of close to 100,000 works. Through the collection as well as collaborations with leading museums around the world, the AGO presents wide-ranging exhibitions and programs to approximately 1 million visitors annually.

We are currently seeking a occasional part-time Cook 2, Events to join our AGO Food & Beverage team. Under the direction of the Manager, Events Culinary Operations, F&B, the incumbent will participate in all food preparation, set up, service and break down of events as scheduled.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• A few year\'s experience at a high quality, volume, and hospitality or retail operation.
• Understanding of contemporary creative cuisine.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food handling and advanced cooking techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to handle all kitchen equipment, and demonstrate safe handling to others
• Demonstrated knowledge of food handling, safety and sanitation standards.
• Teamwork, time management, and organization skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures
• Demonstrated understanding of cultural difference, sensitivity, awareness and lived experience
