Position Details :
The Converting Packer will assist the Operator in preparing finished products for shipment. This consists of taking bags off the line, quality checks and custom packaging. There are 12 converting machines - each is different and there is consistent movement. Each employee is cross-trained for each machine. This role also can grow to a converting operator/set up operator for the right person.
Duties:
- Strictly adheres to the company policies and procedures
- Performs first-off quality inspection with another operator to check that product meets customers\' requirements
- Neatly packs product in cartons as per docket specification
- Places boxes on skid with appropriate labels to prepare for shipping
- Maintain a clean working area
- Assist in any other duties required by the Converting Machine Operator
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members
