Conversions Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supervisor, Conversions is responsible for leading the building conversions and set up at Abbotsford Centre. In addition, the Supervisor will assist the Manager, Operations in the planning and implementation of associated work tasks and supervise the team to ensure proper completion. This is a part-time, hourly position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise both part-time conversions staff during conversions, including managing work assignments, conducting training, performance management, etc. Ensure staff are trained in safe work practices and customer service and always perform work with safety and customer service as key priorities Assist in developing and maintaining proper storage of all conversions equipment Ensure that all conversion equipment is maintained in safe working order Ensure that the issuance and collection of tools and equipment is done in such a manner to minimize property losses Maintain material handling log, ensuring all packages received or sent out are logged Once received, ensure that shipments are delivered to the correct department or safely stored; liaise with partners and departments for storage

REQUIRED Experience & Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar position, with an emphasis on supervising employees being an asset Mechanical and/or construction experience preferred Forklift ticket 1st Aid Certificate Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Self-starter, with proven initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision * Ability to work evenings, overnight, and weekends, as required
