Job Overview


We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers through effective communication and attention to detail.

Duties



Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, ensuring all merchandising displays are well-stocked. Restock shelves, refrigerators, and displays as needed Follow all store safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures. Monitor and record lottery, tobacco, and age-restricted product sales per legal requirements Assist in receiving and stocking deliveries. Communicate effectively with team members and customers in both English and any additional languages as needed. Report any equipment issues, suspicious activity, or policy violations to management. Provide fast, efficient, and courteous service to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Requirements



Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Should Have a Valid Smart Serve Certification Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with technology sales or technical products is a plus. Organizational skills to maintain an orderly checkout area and manage inventory levels. Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
