Join Our Team as a Controls Designer!

Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is looking for a Controls Designer to join our Body-in-White division in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. What you'll get to do

Collaborate with controls experts and manufacturing specialists to generate practical controls designs tailored to meet the needs of our diverse customers. Innovate and implement controls solutions for existing equipment while establishing controls standards for new projects. Under the guidance of senior team members, contribute to the development of controls hardware designs (electric and pneumatic), generate project bill of materials, perform standard design calculations, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Work closely with senior software developers to create PLC, HMI, and other smart device programs. Support the controls manufacturing team during the debugging phase of equipment build and potentially provide installation supervision at customer facilities to ensure equipment functions according to design criteria.

What we are looking for

Education:

College diploma or engineering degree in a related field.

Technical Skills:

Experience in AutoCAD Electrical and/or ePLAN P8, RSLogix, FTView Studio, Siemens Step 7 & TIA Portal.

Innovation & Problem-Solving:

Creative thinkers who bring fresh ideas and technical expertise to automation design.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Passionate about collaboration and contributing to a high-performing team.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
