Our client, a prominent property management company based in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an experienced Controller for a 3-month contract to support accounting operations and ensure strong financial management during a period of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Prepare month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage cash flow forecasts and coordinate budgeting activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making processes.
• Enhance and streamline accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other finance-related functions.

Requirements:
What We're Looking For:

• Education: CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
• Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial leadership roles, preferably in the property management industry.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, or similar). Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent communication capabilities to lead a team and liaise with stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and quickly adapt to new challenges.
