Job Description
:Reporting directly to the CFO, this company seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join their finance team. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial operations of the company. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company\'s growth and success.This is a real estate and investment company.Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with government agencies
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
- Overseeing the timely delivery of multiple sets of financial statements, budgets/reforecasts, regulatory and tax compliance, and audit requirements.
- Maintain internal books and finances Analyze financial transactions
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, CPA designation preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including supervisorial and/or managerial experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (ASPE/IFRS)
- Corporate, trust and personal tax knowledge
- Consolidation experience
- Strong proficiency in utilizing accounting software. Current system in use is Yardi
