DescriptionOur Downtown Vancouver real estate client is seeking an experienced Controller to join the team. Excellent opportunity for a candidate with a blend of public practice and industry experience, ideally within the real estate sector.**Competitive salary ranging from $130,000 to $145,000 + Bonus****Downtown Vancouver, Hybrid work model**Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Finance across all aspects of the company\'s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Manage and mentor a team of 8 accounting professionals
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls
• Review financial statements, reports, and analysis for all projects on a quarterly basis
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders as required
• Support special projects and initiatives, as well as ad-hoc reporting or analysis on an as-needed basis

• Designated CPA/CA
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience with a blend of public practice and industry, ideally within the real estate sector
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and developing a finance team
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
