As this company continues to expand operations, they are seeking a talented Controller to join their dedicated team. Reporting directly to the CEO you will actively participate in the leadership team.

Position Overview:

As the Controller, you will be a key member of the finance department, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of financial operations. You will provide critical insights, analysis, and guidance to support strategic decision-making, while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of corporate financial data. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, optimize processes, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights to drive cost control and profitability.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • A minim of 6 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the manufacturing, export or logging/lumber industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent cash flow management experience
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
