Staffinity is looking for a Financial Controller for a Sudbury client who is experiencing excellent growth. This is a permanent position with salary and benefits. Salary range is 80-110k. This is a dynamic opportunity with excellent long term potential.

Responsibilities:

• Streamline budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting procedures

• Provide top management with thorough financial updates by evaluating, analysing, and reporting relevant data points.

• Apply company policies and processes to current company economics to guide financial decisions.

• Develop, implement, and keep financial controls and procedures in place.

• Prepare detailed financial reports for top management in order to assist and enhance operational efficiency.

• Obtain budgeting objectives by effective planning, analysis, and corrective action in the area of cashflow analysis.

• Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-term operational strategies.

• Ensure compliance with acceptable GAAP standards and regulatory requirements by managing and monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems.

• Maintain internal controls for revenue, costs, and both team and organisational budgets, as well as actual expenditures.

• Establish bi-weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, programme monitoring, and reporting requirements in collaboration with top management.

• Adhere to federal, provincial, and local requirements while implementing consistent accounting rules, methods, and processes across all programs.

• A bachelor\'s degree in business administration, accounting, or a similar subject is required.

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a track record of success

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a must.

• Detailed knowledge of economic, banking, and finance procedures

• 5+ years of senior-level accounting or finance management experience

• Strong working understanding of financial data analysis in great depth

• Proven payroll experience, with an emphasis on accounting process streamlining
