This role\'s duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. This position is for candidates who can lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. Responsibilities

- Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

- Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

- Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection

- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

- Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

- Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties

- Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

- Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations

- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- CPA or MBA preferred

- Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

- Cost accounting experience

- Month end closings experience

- Manufacturing experience highly desired

- Budget forecasting experience required

- Well-founded grasp of financial analysis

- General familiarity with account reconciliation

- Proven knowledge of GAAP Accounting

- Practical knowledge of Annual Internal Audit

- Financial reporting experience

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

- Accounting experience in a private- equity owned company a plus
