Job Description

B2B distributor, recognized as a leader in its field and with a high volume of transactions is looking for a controller whose mandate is to increase the accuracy of financial information and internal controls surrounding our special projects.

This position reports to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

Review and improve internal processes, including accounting operations surrounding projects:

• Review reports to analyze sales and profit forecasts versus actuals
• Oversee the entire project accounting process
• Support the team in the preparation of financial statements
• Contribute to the preparation of financial dashboards
• Conduct project profitability analysis and prepare various analyses for management
• Produce profitability and performance analyses
• Participate in the year-end file
• Analyze budget variances
• Work on the implementation of a new ERP system
• Implement internal controls
• Assist the Finance Director in all other related tasks

• Accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA)
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a B2B company
• Advanced Excel functions; Power BI
• Autonomous, rigorous, known for his diplomacy, flexibility, tenacity and practical approach
• Experience in implementing an ERP system, an asset;
• Bilingualism in French and English.
• Able to work with tight deadlines, has an analytical and strategic mind
• Comfortable working in a complex, dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to adapt to change
• Good business sense, results oriented

• Essential - Accounting designation
