Job Title: Interim Controller / Strong Senior Accountant
Duration: 2 months
Location: Remote - may be required onsite (Scarborough) periodically.
Overview:
Our client is seeking an Interim Controller / Strong Senior Accountant to assist with year-end audit support. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations during the audit process, including financial reconciliations, document preparation, and support for accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide audit support by pulling documents, answering queries, and assisting with reconciliations using Financial Edge.
• Process accounts payable (low volume) and bank payments, addressing inquiries related to fund allocation.
• Support financial reconciliation between separate entities.
• Collaborate with the audit team to provide necessary documentation for year-end audit processes.
• Maintain schedules and perform reporting duties (e.g., fixed assets, prepaids, investment returns, etc.).

• CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with year-end audits, reconciliation support, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is an advantage but not required.
• Proven experience within not-for-profit accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ERP's (Blackbaud, Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, or Investor Edge would be considered an asset).
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
