Children's Treatment Network (CTN) supports over 39,000 kids and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs. We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.

What You Will Do:
CTN is looking for a permanent, full-time
Controller
who will manage CTN's accounting and financial activities. This role includes leadership for CTN's key financial systems and processes and has responsibility for full cycle accounting, internal and external financial and statistical reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role provides leadership for payroll services, processes, and systems. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Provides leadership over purchasing, accounts payable, and invoice processing, ensuring appropriate and best practices to support accurate and reliable financial reporting
Leads the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting and financial systems and processes
Develops the annual operating budget, creates systems and processes to support monitoring and reporting actual financial results, tracks actual results against budget and provides variance analysis
Leads the internal financial forecasting systems, processes, and reporting
Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statement reporting including year-to-date actual, forecasts, and variance explanations
Provides leadership and oversight for financial, service performance and other statistical reporting to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and other funding sources
Supports members of the leadership team for financial analysis and statistical reporting as required to support various clinical and business areas to understand budgeted, actual, and forecasted financial results
Provides leadership with all accounting and finance functions for the organization and supports payroll process, ensuring coordination and alignment with internal accounting and human resources functions
Supervises and supports the finance team members in their roles related to day-to-day, monthly, and annual finance functions and processes
Leads and coordinates the annual financial statement audit and engages with the external auditors to ensure a successful audit result
Participate in service provider performance meetings and support funding allocation decision making process through analysis of the financial and service performance results
What We Need:
A minimum of a four-year University degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field is required; a graduate level degree is preferred
Current certification in a designated professional accounting body is required
A minimum of seven (7) years of leadership experience with preference for not-for-profit and or public or broader public sectors is required
Strong business professionalism and adherence to confidentiality with the ability to exercise good judgement and decision-making skills when dealing with CTN staff including members of the leadership team and network contracted providers
Strong working knowledge of Ministry of Health Management Information System (MIS) reporting preferred
Working knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics and Quadrant Workforce or other major financial and payroll applications preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team in a dynamic environment and achieve organizational financial goals and objectives
Ability to interact with members from teams and departments using effective solution focused approaches to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization in collaborative environment
Advanced computer skills including WORD, Excel, and Outlook
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including oral, written and presentation
Ability to work flexible hours in support of requirements that may fall outside of the typical work hour framework
Knowledge of the children's service systems in Simcoe County and York Region considered an asset
Lived experience as a person with a disability or a caregiver of a child with a disability and/or developmental needs is considered an asset
Ability to communicate in French or other languages considered an asset
Experience with and understanding of various cultures and cultural communities including Francophone, First Nations, Metis and Inuit (FNMI) communities considered an asset
Certified First Aid considered an asset
Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for staff, clients and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related policies
Selected Successful Candidate Will Be Required To:
Produce a clear police record check with a vulnerable sector check prior to start of employment
Be able to travel to assigned office, between CTN sites and/or other locations as required
Maintain the ability to work effectively in a temporary hybrid environment and have access to appropriate internet capacity
