Job Description

Our client is on the lookout for a Controller to join our team in South-West Ottawa, Ontario. In this role, you will have a wide range of responsibilities, including managing financial reporting and compliance, overseeing day-to-day activities related to inventory, payroll, and asset management, as well as leading the accounts receivable and payable departments.Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enhance internal controls for accurate financial reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements

• Direct daily operations concerning inventory, payroll, and asset management

• Develop efficient, documented work-flow processes and accounting policies

• Collaborate cross-functionally to offer financial insights and support strategic initiatives

• Guide and assist the accounts receivable and accounts payable departments

• Lead the year-end review process

• Assist in the creation of tax schedules

• Perform reconciliation and posting of journal entries

• Support Month End and Year End closing procedures

• Review and renew insurance policies

• Utilize various skills such as 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related professional work experience

• Professional accounting designation (CPA)

• Knowledge of various Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with CRM systems

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes
