Job Description

Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.

Our centrally located construction client is looking for a Controller for a 6-month contract to permanent role. In this role, you support the President and General Manager in all finance and reporting activities.

This role is an integral part of a fun, close knit team working collaboratively onsite.

The Controllers duties will include:

\xc2\xb7 Leading full-cycle accounting activities including month end closing activity

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring accuracy of project reporting, including review of project costs

\xc2\xb7 Reconciling intercompany accounts

\xc2\xb7 Preparing budgets, forecasts, cashflow analyses, and assisting with cashflow projections

\xc2\xb7 Creating dashboards and reports to assist with decision making

\xc2\xb7 Implement process improvements, including stronger inventory management, and opportunities for operational effectiveness

\xc2\xb7 Interface with internal and external stakeholders i.e., banks, project managers, and CRA

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will have:

\xc2\xb7 A recognized accounting designation (CPA or ACCA) or equivalent working experience

\xc2\xb7 Working experience in construction or project-based environments is considered an asset

\xc2\xb7 Excellent English language communication skills, written and spoken

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop is a strong asset

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of financial activities including budgeting, reporting, and audit

\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
