We're seeking an experienced financial professional who is ready to manage a talented team of accountants and help drive operational and financial success.About the Role:As the Construction Controller, you'll play a vital role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. You'll develop and implement key systems and controls to support the company's growth while collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, financial institutions, and internal personnel. With your leadership and problem-solving skills, you'll guide the team to success and ensure project cost accuracy and financial oversight.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small team of accounting professionals.
• Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, invoicing, collections, payroll, and general accounting.
• Prepare financial records, including monthly P& L, balance sheets, and statutory/internal financial reports.
• Maintain project costing systems to ensure budget accuracy and performance tracking.
• Build strong professional relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and financial institutions.
• Innovate systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee month-end close processes and reporting.
• Ensure integrity and compliance in systems, processes, and financial data.
• Participate in special projects and compile detailed financial reports as needed.
• Foster collaboration and maintain professional communication with stakeholders across the organization.

What We're Looking For:

• Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams, solve problems, and create innovative solutions.
• Experience: At least three years of recent supervisory/management experience and previous controller experience required. Construction and/or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• Software Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred.
• Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy, good judgment, and confidentiality.
• Qualities: Confident self-starter, creative problem-solver, and collaborative team player.
