In this role, it will be critical for you to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Major responsibilities

- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

- Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team

- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required

- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

- Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

- Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation

- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

- Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties

- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

- CPA Designation

- Background working with Microsoft Excel

- Foundational knowledge in Financial Statement

- Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel

- Demonstrated knowledge of CapEx

- Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings

- Account analysis experience highly preferred

- Proficiency in financial analysis

- Adeptness in Standard Costing

- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience preferred

- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

- Prepare Financial Statements experience

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

- Excellent attention to detail

- Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferre
