The role involves managing budgets, conducting financial analysis, handling payroll, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable.   • Participate in the development and implementation of the organizationxe2x80x99s strategic plans.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company.
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages, including monthly statements for all companies.
  • Prepare monthly bank deposits and reconcile bank and credit card statements for all companies, including intercompany adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the organizationxe2x80x99s policies and procedures.
  • Report financial metrics to senior management.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable functions for all companies.
  • Oversee payroll preparation and issue T-4 statements and Records of Employment as needed.
  • Handle all government remittances according to provincial and federal requirements (including GST, HST, payroll, WSIB in Ontario, and WCB in Saskatchewan).
  • Administer and monitor the benefit plan.
  • Submit corporate tax installments as required.
  • Prepare year-end financial documents for submission to the accountant.
  • Oversee and arrange payment for all insurance renewals to ensure required coverage.
  • Review all service contracts.
  • Manage all leases for rented spaces and leased vehicles and equipment.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for grants and subsidies.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary to achieve company goals.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree or completion of a relevant community college program in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting in a financial management role. 3 Years accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Current, acceptable Police Record Check.
