Job #4545 - Our client is looking for a hands-on Controller to join their successful and growing organization on a full- time basis! The ideal candidate is professional, curious and an excellent communicator who can handle everything from day-to-day accounting to monthly financial statements and reports. If you are tech savvy, this manufacturing/high tech environment will serve you well! Reporting to the CFO, the main responsibilities include:

• Oversee accounting operations including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and monthly and annual close processes
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, financial statements and analysis
• Assist with inventory management and SRED loans
• Lead quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Develop business processes and policies to improve internal controls
• Oversee a small accounting team

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Bachelor\'s degree in commerce (accounting/finance) or equivalent education
• 4+ years\' experience in accounting, including creating financial statements, performing financial analysis and assisting with audits
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

Definite Assets:

• CPA designation
• Experience with IFRS
• Cost Accounting experience
• Previous experience using NetSuite
