Controller

Dorval, QC, CA, Canada

Job Description

We're looking for a high-performing Controller to join FB Canada Express!

This person will lead the finance function at our fast-moving, high-volume logistics company with operations across Canada. We're looking for someone who brings depth, drive, and long-term commitment to the team.

At FB Canada Express, we value consistency, solutions, and trust. As we grow and deepen our global reach, we're evolving our finance function to match the scale, speed, and complexity of modern cross-border logistics. This is a team that's ready to move from traditional finance operations toward tech-enabled accounting and decision making.

We're building systems and structures to support our growth, and we're looking for someone to lead that transformation. If you thrive in a culture where the work is hands-on, you're held accountable, and are excited to lead the modernization of a finance function poised for growth, you'll feel at home here.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Controller plays a central role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations and driving improvements across the business.

You'll oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while managing a small, capable team in our Montreal office. You'll work closely with senior leadership, help make key decisions, and lead the adoption of AI and automation tools that can improve data flow, reduce manual workloads, and enhance our ability to report and make fast, insight-driven decisions.

We're looking for an experienced finance and accounting professional (10+ years) with expert-level Excel proficiency and a proven ability to evolve legacy processes. Someone who sees automation as an enabler, and brings analytical rigor and sound judgment to improve and modernize financial operations.

This person needs to bring a long-term commitment and a steady hand to the role, leads with clarity, and takes a deliberate, structured approach to change. We're looking for someone who sees the long game -- who can evolve the finance function responsibly, embed intelligent automation and modern practices, and strengthen a high-volume, high-integrity operation that's scaling across Canada and globally.
