Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic
Controller
to lead the financial operations of both companies, with a
primary focus on the dynamic and expanding operations of Xtreme Cold
.
Reporting directly to the President
, this role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong analytical and operational finance experience in logistics, transportation, or manufacturing environments.
This is a full-time,
on-site position based in Dieppe, NB
, offering the opportunity to play a key leadership role in two growth-focused companies with global reach.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all accounting, bookkeeping and financial reporting functions for both companies
Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and liaise with our banking partners
Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and performance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory standards
Optimize internal controls, financial systems, and operational accounting workflows
Liaise with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and operational efficiencies
Support strategic planning, including evaluation of new services and global market expansion
Qualifications
CPA designation (or equivalent) is a strong asset
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience
Experience in 3PL, transportation, cold storage, or manufacturing is an asset
Solid knowledge of international logistics, warehousing, and export compliance is an asset
Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP platforms) and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills, financial modeling experience, and attention to detail
Bilingual in English and French is an asset
