:We are looking for a Senior Controller to join our clients leadership team. The successful candidate will work directly with the CFO and CEO and senior finance team, with the goal of developing the finance and accounting group and optimizing its functionality and performance. Experience in construction and/or real estate development would be a strong benefit.Key Responsibilities:

• Global responsibility for accounting.

• Internal financial reporting

• Oversight of tax returns, compliance and related tax planning.

• Accounting and financial policies and procedures

• Develop and maintain strong accounting/finance teams across all divisions and disciplines and provide ongoing training, mentorship and succession planning.

• Communicate goals and accountability standards to various team members

• Ensure financial working papers are maintained to consistent and strong standards.

• Monitor and control costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the organization.

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to senior management.

• Participate in strategic planning initiatives, providing financial expertise and guidance to support long-term business goals and objectives.

Background

• CPA/CA with minimum 5 years of industry experience

• Bachelor of Commerce would be an asset.

• Strong corporate skills with experience with Sage 300 CRE, Profile and QuickBooks

• Previous experience in management positions with medium/large accounting teams

• Accounting background within construction, real estate, and hospitality would be an asset.
