Our client is an engineer solution provider. They are looking for a Controller who will be responsible for performing full accounting cycle and overseeing cash analysis and performance reporting for Financial Statements and M/E, Qtr End and Y/E.

About the Opportunity

• Able to perform full accounting cycle namely bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivables, cheques, invoices, purchase orders, cheque requisitions, journal entries;
• Prepare cash analysis and performance reports for owners including financial statements monthly, quarterly and year-end;
• Make bank deposits when required;
• Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, scanning, and photocopying if necessary;
• Oversee auditors and prepare audit deliverables, including annual working papers. Coordinate with external auditors and manage all audit and income tax deadlines;
• Manage banking relationship and assist in coordinating wire payments, EFTs, and any other required activities;
• Responsible for inventory reporting, inventory receipt procedures and managing costs of inventory and cost of sales;
• Analyzing project costs and recommending improvements to senior management; \xe2\x80\xa2 Overseeing annual physical inventory counts;
• Strong understanding of designing and implementing accounting systems;
• Respond to inquiries, maintain good employee relations and problem solving;
• Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures;
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of all relevant accounting pronouncements, and convey impacts on reporting requirements to Chief Commercial Officer;
• Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures;
• Work on special projects as required;
• Other duties/projects as assigned from time to time.

About You

• University degree or college diploma in finance management required, professional accounting designation an asset (CPA, CA/CGA/CMA);
• Minimum 5 years experience

Salary Range
$110,000 - $130,000/year
