The Job:
Reporting to the CFO, this is a leadership position within the accounting / finance team that will provide forward-looking leadership, guidance, support and expertise to the department as well as act as the liaison with the senior management of the organization.
With a focus on continuously improving efficiency and accuracy both within the finance team and within the larger business. The successful candidate will utilize a strong accounting / finance background to ensure that the department maintains accounting principles, practices, and procedures as well as preparing and presenting financial statements, analysis and budgets to the Senior management of the company.
The Controller will lead by example and clearly communicate expectations for their team and will achieve these expectations by working closely alongside their team. This role will handle confidential and sensitive financial data and must show exceptional integrity and discretion while working with this information and will demonstrate professionalism when working with external partners such as lawyers and external auditors.
Your Work will include:
Leading the day-to-day activities of the finance team by working alongside team members and providing training and guidance as needed.
Overseeing and monitoring the reconciliations of the AR / AP Processes as well as of the Inventory and WIP.
Ensuring that processes are in place and being followed to monitor and maintain the overall financial condition of the business.
Generating, completing and presenting various financial reports and statements and analyses.
Performing Month End / Year End closing processes and packages.
Maintaining and managing balance sheet and profit loss statements.
Cashflow Management.
Completing Budget Forecast and tracking and monitoring capital expenditures
Ensuring the accuracy of all financial records throughout the fiscal year.
Auditing financial documents and procedures and ensuring that these are accurate and current and working closely with external auditors on processing tax payments and returns.
Creating and preparing a variety of financial reports and financial analysis including but not limited to: GL Financial report, Sales and SM Reports etc.
Establishing and monitoring internal control processes that ensure and maintain the health of company assets.

Applicants will also bring the following skills and experience:
Completed post secondary education in accounting / finance.
Previous experience leading and developing a team in an accounting setting
At least 5 years of previous combined experience as Sr. Accountant, Accounting Manager or as a Controller (preferably in the manufacturing sector.)
Strong foundational knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
Advanced skills with Office 365 specifically excel.
Prior Experience working with ERP systems / software (EPICOR) as a super-user.
Prior Experience as a participant in an ERP cloud migration.

Compensation:
The Starting salary range for this position is between
$95,000 and $105,000 per year
. The final starting compensation will be based on the successful candidate's particular combination of skills, education and experience.
