Agilus is recruiting for a Controller in the Healthcare industry . Canada\'s leading sales force & technology partner to the healthcare industry is seeking an expert financial controller with potential to lead the department in the years ahead. This is a very broad role where you will work along side our VP Finance with responsibility to manage the Finance Team and to be involved in, but not limited to, all aspects of the accounting function, month & year-end close process, payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, government remittances and working on ad hoc executive leadership requests. A typical day:

• Lead and coordinate the monthly and annual financial reporting processes in accordance with company policy
• Develop and mentor and oversight of the Finance Team; hands-on support
• Maintain and evaluate corporate insurance policies and oversee compliance with government regulations
• Maintain and evaluate corporate insurance policies and oversee compliance with government regulations
• Oversee the payroll function to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax requirements in relevant jurisdictions
• Reconciliations, including resolving discrepancies

Successful candidates will have:

• Must hold a valid CPA designation
• Recent experience in an active small business environment with 2 - 6 direct reports
• Familiarity with payroll tax rules and government remittances is required
• Knowledge of corporate government assistance programs is an asset
• Strong computer software literacy with above average MS Office (including Excel) skills are required
