Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our accounting team. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the team, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and managing human resources. This position requires a strong background in Canadian accounting, along with exceptional analytical skills to support strategic decision-making.

Duties

Day to day accounting operations including functional responsibility of accounts payable and receivable. Responsible for payroll including various types of renumeration and other human resource related tasks. Management of accounting team Reconciliation of bank accounts Assist Senior Financial Controller with financial reporting Maintain internal controls to ensure integrity and accuracy of company's financial date Assist with special projects or reporting as required

Skills

A minimum of 5 years Canadian related work experience Proficiency in Alberta payroll management and processing. Experience with modular account software. Expertise in account analysis, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Experience managing foreign currency transactions. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines. Ability to communicate and effectively manage the accounting team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
