:THE ROLE:Our esteemed client in the Energy sector is in search of a Controller for a one-year contract. Assuming the role of a Controller, you will be entrusted with the preparation of external financial statements following IFRS guidelines and collaborating with auditors. Additionally, you will supervise banking and treasury functions, and deliver monthly variance analyses.Typical duties include:

• Oversee Financial Reporting function, including the preparation of financials statement and reports in accordance with IFRS
• Liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Draw on a robust understanding of Accounting Functions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Leverage skills in Auditing to ensure all financial operations meet industry standards
• Apply knowledge of Budget Processes to assist in the planning and forecasting of financial activities
• Prepare Financial Reporting to provide a comprehensive overview of the company\'s financial status

• 10+ years of full cycle experience, with proficient understanding of accounting functions within the Oil & Gas industry.
• A strong command over auditing processes, coupled with demonstrated aptitude in handling budgets
• Well-versed in preparing and presenting annual financial statements, with a firm grasp on financial reporting standards and IFRS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as a capacity to thrive under pressure and deliver within deadlines
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, high level integrity, and professionalism
• Familiarity with Qbyte software and prior experience in public reporting will be considered a valuable asset.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• A professional certification such as a CPA, CMA, or equivalent is highly preferred
