The Opportunity
Tiltco Architectural Facades is currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a proven track record in manufacturing or inventory-driven environments who is ready to take ownership of the company's full financial function. The Controller will manage day-to-day accounting operations, lead the budgeting and forecasting process, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic financial insight to support the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate external audits and act as the primary liaison with auditors.
Lead annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes.
Analyze budget vs. actual performance and present actionable insights.
Oversee product costing, BOM analysis, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
Partner with operations and production teams to ensure accurate standard costs.
Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities across the organization.
Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements, managing banking relationships and credit facilities.
Oversee AP/AR and general ledger functions
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
Requirements
CPA designation (or equivalent) required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA considered an asset)
7-10 years of accounting experience
Strong cost accounting expertise, including BOMs and production workflows
ERP system experience (QuickBooks experience is required)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and best practices across AP/AR and full-cycle accounting
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
