Duties

  • Manage the overall accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Oversee financial activities and provide backup support to AR, AP, Invoicing and payroll functions.
  • Generate timely financial reports, income statements, balance sheet, cash flow for management analysis
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage to maintain financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee budgeting processes and provide financial forecasts to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis initiatives.
  • Manage exposure to import/export controls such as CARM
Requirements
xc2xb7 Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
xc2xb7 Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in accounting or finance.
xc2xb7 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
xc2xb7 Proficiency in accounting software. Sage would be an asset
xc2xb7 Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
xc2xb7 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
xc2xb7 Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with appropriate legal, insurance industry professionals, banks, benefit providers, trade association, suppliers, customers .
