In4Structure Ltd. has earned an outstanding reputation in the construction and management of infrastructure projects. We are an experienced sewer & watermain contractor with projects that include residential and industrial subdivisions as well as road reconstruction. We are currently seeking a Controller to join our team. You will be actively involved with every aspect of the accounting cycle as well as general business functions. Job Duties

• Prepare monthly financial statements and related analysis including:
• Preparing monthly journal entries
• Analyzing job reports for month end WIP reporting
• Preparing and updating monthly accounting schedules and reconciliations of G/L accounts
• Report financial information to senior management on a monthly and annual basis
• Prepare forecasting for year-end tax planning
• Prepare year-end working papers for the external accounting firm including information required for the tax returns
• Assist with SR&ED claim activities
• Ensure compliance with reporting obligations including corporate income tax, HST, WSIB, EHT, T4\xe2\x80\x99s, T5\xe2\x80\x99s
• Supervise activities of accounting staff and provide support to the team
• Oversee A/R process for Progress Payment billings
• Oversee A/P process for invoice approvals and coordination of EFT payment runs including cash flow information
• Oversee Payroll process
• Maintain leases with all tenants for the property holding company including calculating actual \xe2\x80\x9ccommon area\xe2\x80\x9d expenses for each tenant
• Liaison with bank, including required reporting and facilitating any bank loans/leases
• Liaison with equipment & vehicle companies and facilitate leases/loans
• Liaison with insurance broker, including required reporting
• Liaison with benefits & group RRSP providers and administer the policies
• Liaison with Corporate lawyer for yearly resolutions
• Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• University/College degree in Accounting is required
• CPA or equivalent designation is an asset
• 5+ years of experience as an accountant
• Knowledge of construction company accounting practices including construction billings, percentage of completion accounting and holdbacks is an asset
• Knowledge of tax laws and tax planning is an asset
• Proficiency in MS Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines through effective time management and planning
• Strong communication skills
