Bring your knowledge and experience as a Control Systems Specialist to our Water team. You will be responsible for the design, repair, calibration and maintenance of graphics control systems and instruments, configure programmable logic controllers, troubleshoot and test hardware and software components and communication systems for the City's operations and facilities.
Duties - Union
Designs, troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates graphics control instruments and system.
Programs, configures and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Monitors Computer Data Acquisition Control (CDAC) system to assess whether various components in the waste treatment facilities are operating reliably and at optimum standards. The CDAC system reports on performance data measured by sensors, installed throughout the wastewater treatment facilities - e.g. air pressure levels, temperatures, fluid levels in valves and pumps, and other performance data.
Develops and performs computer back-up and restores systems.
Creates, updates and maintains AutoCAD drawings.
Writes, organizes and issues Standard Operating Procedures.
Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of all gauges, sensors and instrument equipment.
Evaluates and tests hardware and software in order to make adjustments, recommend upgrades and replacements.
Coordinates computer training for staff; participates in courses required to learn continuously changing technologies.
