If you have a passion for automation and an interest in visualizing data to help manufacturing teams optimize production and streamline functionality for users, we have an exciting opportunity. We're currently seeking candidates to join our Electrical & Controls group in the development of PLC and HMI systems. In this role you will:



What You'll Do

Gyptech is seeking a Control Systems Engineer within the Electrical Engineering & Controls team. Your role will involve:



Designing control systems for industrial equipment.



Developing PLC programs (Ladder, Structured Text, Function Blocks)



Understanding safety risk assessments and design



Assisting design engineers by reviewing panel designs



Assisting in the development of equipment motor and device lists



Select, bench test and commissioning hardware



Participate in FAT and SAT testing



Designing HMI and SCADA systems.



Develop operator interfaces



Install HMI hardware and software



Setup I/O drivers



Develop databases and screens



Deploy tools for collecting and analyzing production data



Support commissioning of international projects.



Participate in field commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment



Configure hardware, sensors and devices



Installation and configuration of computer hardware



Configure and troubleshoot Industrial networks both Ethernet & Profinet



This position is based out of our office in Vaxjo, Sweden with a requirement to travel internationally on a consistent basis.



What You Offer



Minimum 7 years of hands-on controls development and commissioning experience in a manufacturing environment



Experience with industrial robots, process controls, instrumentation, and Functional Safety design/validation is a plus



Demonstrated familiarity with Rockwell Software (ControlLogix, RSLinx, FTView), Siemens (Step7 v5.5, TIA Portal, WinCC), Ignition (Vision and Perspective), Aveva (Wonderware/Archestra)



Experience with Ethernet and Profinet, network concepts and troubleshooting



Proficiency in Excel, Teams and the Microsoft Office Suite



Strong interpersonal and communication skills



Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines



Can work independently with ease and be a contributing member of a team



In addition, any of the following would be considered an asset:



Previous experience with Servo Motion applications



Certification in Ignition or Aveva



Network design certification



Database design experience especially Microsoft SQL server
