The Opportunity:

Our client in BC is looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their team. In this role you will take on the exciting challenge of developing and maintaining control systems for mobile applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with both model-based and hand code techniques to create embedded control software. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will have the chance to provide technical leadership, assist in training less experienced engineers, and make independent judgments and decisions.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain control systems for mobile applications
• Create control strategies for transmissions and related mobile applications
• Generate control software from control models
• Develop and test embedded C code for controllers
• Design electrical circuits and subsystems for mobile applications
• Source, test, and evaluate electrical/electro-hydraulic parts
• Design and integrate control systems with mechanical components
• Oversee assembly and testing of prototype control systems
• Provide field commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal departments
• Utilize company\'s engineering standards and ERP/PLM systems
• Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model-based development
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of codes
• Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and control systems
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proven organizational and technical writing skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Solid experience with MS Office products
• Ability to travel and work on emergencies if needed
• Desire to learn, develop, and improve work processes
• Experience in vehicle control system development
• Knowledge of ERP systems and DFMA
• Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or engineering technology diploma required
• Manufacturing environment experience desirable
• Clearance Requirement: Must pass controls good clearance (permanent resident or Canadian citizen)
• Experience in autonomous vehicle projects is an asset.
