About the role
We are looking for an Administrator, Contracts to support the Closure project. This role is responsible for coordinating, analyzing and maintaining the contractor management system(s) that guarantee contractor performance against agreed contract terms in full respect of Rio Tinto procurement standards, project practices and our core values.
Working a two (2) weeks on / two (2) weeks off rotation, the successful candidate will:

  • Administering all major Closure contracts during the performance and through completion;
  • Tracking contract pre-qualification requirements, deliverables, performance and payment milestones;
  • Collaborating with Project Controls by providing contract values, approved variations, potential changes and committed costs to support accurate cost reporting;
  • Preparing and assessing site instruction, notices, claims, and formalizing contract variations;
  • Liaising with the project team to proactively identify contractual matters and potential impacts to total contract spend;
  • Monitoring contractor compliance, identifying risks, and support resolving disputes;
  • Supporting internal and external audits and developing contract reports; and
  • Maintaining accurate and organized contract records throughout the project lifecycle.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law or a related field
  • Three to five years' experience in contracts administration or procurement, ideally in major projects;
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practice and project workflows;
  • Proficient with all MS office and contract/document management systems;
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively make sound decisions whilst working in a fast-paced project environment with multiple priorities
