Contractor Desk Sales Lead
who thrives on delivering exceptional service, building lasting customer relationships, and leading with integrity. This role is at the heart of our store's operations, managing the Service Counter and working closely with contractors, DIY customers, and internal teams to drive sales and exceed expectations.
You'll play a key role in achieving our sales goals, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience--every day.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Building Supply Counter
with energy and expertise, providing product knowledge and recommendations to both staff and customers.
Drive sales
by developing strategic business relationships with contractors and walk-in customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
Own the sales process
for all building materials and lumber within the store, ensuring smooth transactions and customer satisfaction.
Meet and exceed sales targets
and shrink reduction goals to support the store's financial success.
Monitor inventory levels
, initiate purchase orders, and ensure the right products are always on hand.
Coach and mentor team members
, contributing to a positive and high-performing work environment.
Handle customer concerns
with professionalism and efficiency, always aiming for a positive resolution.
Maintain operational excellence
by enforcing company policies, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, and meeting all health, safety, and compliance standards.
Support scheduling and performance management
by assigning tasks, monitoring results, and helping team members grow through regular feedback and training.
Collaborate across departments

What You Bring to the Team
Minimum
2+ years of supervisory experience
in retail--preferably in building materials, lumber, hardware, plumbing, or electrical.
A
proven track record
of sales leadership and customer service excellence.
Strong
time management, multitasking, and problem-solving
skills.
Ability to
train, motivate, and lead
a team to achieve goals and deliver outstanding service.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office
and general computer systems.
Excellent
