Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Independent Contractor Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong focus on communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of your daily duties. We are open to working with someone who would be insured and driving our vehicle or who is privately insured and will operate their own heavy vehicle.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various locations. Perform moving tasks, including loading and unloading items from the vehicle. Utilize a forklift when necessary to assist with loading and unloading operations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Collaborate with warehouse staff to streamline loading processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and move items safely as required by the job. Previous warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in roles involving logistics or inventory management. Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules. Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 36 per week
