The Opportunity


Keyano College's University Studies department is currently seeking a Contract Instructor to teach the following University Transfer course for the Winter 2026 semester (January 8 - April 28, 2026):




PESS 293 (Introduction to the Movement Activities of Children Aged 5 - 10)


Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be required to:


Primarily teach their specific courses across the curriculum Maintaining office hours and student mentorship/engagement Maintaining professional competence and knowledge of subject matter
Qualifications


Required Qualification:

Minimum Master's degree in Education or a related field. Minimum of 2 years cumulative post-secondary teaching experience Significant teaching experience in K-12 settings Proficient with the use of learning technologies Excellent classroom management and instructional skills Demonstrated excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills Dependable and resourceful team member with a proven track record of managing multiple competing priorities with a calm professional approach Commitment to inclusion and diversity


Please note that if your education was received internationally, upon hire we will require you to provide an international education assessment completed through WES, IQAS or one of the other IRCC approved designated organization.


Compensation and Benefits


Placement on the wage grid is reflective upon educational and experiential qualifications.
