Are you a Power Engineer looking to give back to industry and their future employees? Do you enjoy theory-based content, or prefer to be hands on and teach in our Power Lab, or does a combination of both appeal to you? Be the difference, join our team of contract instructors and teach future Power Engineers.

Our successful candidates will be energetic leaders of students with well-developed communication skills. Being highly organized and capable of working in both team and independent settings will be key. Our candidates will use their experience to supplement NAIT\'s excellent curriculum and prepared resources.

Contract Instruction Deliverables:
Provide classroom and lab instruction to students mainly at the 5th & 4th class level.
Preparation, operation, and maintenance of Equipment and Lab facilities for instructional purposes
Preparation of learning resources and course materials
Organization and supervision of practical assignments and assessments
Provision of one-on-one student tutorial support as required
Conducting student evaluations and maintaining student records
Seek feedback from students on instructional effectiveness and relevance.
Participating in course and program reviews
Curriculum development and redevelopment opportunities

Qualifications:
3rd Class Power Engineer certificate mandatory.
A related trade certificate and minimum five years of related experience in the field are considered an asset.
Degree or CACE (Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education) would be an asset.
Previous instructional experience would be an asset.
Flexible schedules as operational needs require.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration: $70/hr instructional hour

Note: Contract hours are required for daytime, evening, and weekend class delivery. Hours per week could fluctuate between 8 and 20, depending on the course hours and delivery.
