Job Description


The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba seeks a dynamic individual to work with the Complaints and Discipline team as a Contract Complaints Investigator. The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (the College) was established in 1878 and is the pharmacy regulatory and licensing authority in Manitoba. The legislated mandate of the College is to serve and protect the public interest. The College protects the health and well-being of the public by ensuring and promoting safe, patient-centred, and progressive pharmacy practice in collaboration with other health care professionals. About the Position The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and progressive with excellent communication, interpersonal, and investigative skills. The consultant will be able to work independently in a self-directed environment and also have the ability to collaborate effectively with College staff. Assets include a working knowledge of health-professions legislation, including the Pharmaceutical Act of Manitoba and supporting Pharmaceutical regulations, administrative, organizational and time management skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. This position is offered as an independent contractor, not an employee. Workload will vary according to the demands of cases received. Flexible work schedule with the opportunity to work outside regular business hours, as appropriate. The work model includes a mix of remote and onsite work, with some onsite required initially to effectively accomplish training and collaboration. Travel within Manitoba may be required. Qualifications * Post-secondary degree in pharmacy, law, or other regulated health profession, or a background in law enforcement and investigation * Knowledge of administrative law and regulation of self-governing professionals * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated discretion and tact in observing privacy and confidentiality policies Assets * Experience working in a regulatory environment, interpreting, and applying legislation * Knowledge of pharmacy related legislation, standards of practice and ability to interpret and apply knowledge * National Certified Investigator and Inspector Training (NCIT) through the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR) Requirements for Employment * Consultant will supply own electronics (computer, cell phone) and ensure secure storage * Ability to work remotely and communicate and collaborate using various software platforms (i.e.: Zoom Meetings, Microsoft Teams, Sync.com) * Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence * Must have access to vehicle for independent transportation within Manitoba * Satisfactory criminal record check Remuneration and Expense Reimbursement * Rate of remuneration is competitive and shall be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications * The consultant will be responsible to invoice monthly at the negotiated hourly rate plus GST * Out-of-pocket expenses incurred in direct relation to contracted service will be reimbursed as mutually agreed upon in advance. * Travel shall be reimbursed at a pre-determined rate per kilometer How to Apply Please access the online application tool to complete a questionnaire to build your application profile and upload your resume and accompanying documents. https://www.fitzii.com/apply/ (https://www.fitzii.com/apply/56212) 76121 After submitting, you will be able to view your results.
