Qualifications Master's/MBA degree required plus current relevant professional experience.


Remuneration $6,655 (inclusive of vacation pay based on 2019-2026 UWFA-CAS Agreement)

The objective of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the key concepts of technology and innovation, their relationship with the organizational environment, and their overall impact on management and organizations. It is based on a selection of innovation management readings and business cases that help to prepare students for decisions they are likely to face within the job market or in starting a new venture. It is an analysis-intensive course, and students are encouraged to observe, assess, and experience innovation management issues and apply innovation management frameworks and analytical tools in their business, communities, or in case examples.



Learning objectives include:


To demonstrate an understanding of fundamental concepts of Innovation Management: the development of innovation (ideation, risks, planning, etc.), leadership of innovation (culture, teams, incentives, etc.), and evaluation mechanisms. To demonstrate an awareness of managerial issues and current trends/challenges related to innovation. To demonstrate understanding of the use of innovation tools and models in case studies and other applications.

An online course has been developed on Nexus (D2L) in 2025 and can be transferred to the contracted instructor for consideration in building the 2026 course. The Nexus site includes weekly readings, weblinks, videos, assignments, and discussion forums.
