Leads and facilitates Kaizen events and other Lean initiatives aimed at improving process flow, eliminating waste, and enhancing productivity across the manufacturing floor
Conducts regular assessments of manufacturing processes, identifies areas for improvement, and implements solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Utilizes data-driven approaches to assess performance metrics, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for process improvement
Provides training and guidance to team members on Lean principles, Kaizen and/or Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies, and best practices for continuous improvement
Works closely with manufacturing, engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of continuous improvement strategies
Leads problem-solving activities, utilizing tools like the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to identify and eliminate root causes of issues
Ensures that all improvements align with safety and quality standards, and promote a culture of safety and quality consciousness across the organization
Oversees and manages continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget

Requirements
Post Secondary Education in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred* Three (3) years' continuous improvement or process improvement roles within an automotive manufacturing environment preferred* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen and/or TPS methodology, or Six Sigma required* Proven track record of leading and implementing successful Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects required* Familiarity with manufacturing systems, quality management systems, and process control tools required* Project management experience and ability to work across multiple departments required* Ability to think critically, analyze data, and solve complex problems required* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate others required* Proficient using the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required*
