Progesys is looking for a Continuous Improvement - Logistics Lead to evaluate performance against the objectives for the current year and 5-year plan. The Logistics CI Lead works collaboratively with other Production Superintendents, Managers and Supervisors within the functional and cross-functional areas of the operation to address supplier and customer system deficiencies and achieve capital, operating, and maintenance project goals.

Main responsabilities

• Use Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies to identify all key improvement initiatives required to meet the objective, and then manage the staged implementation and tracking of these initiatives.
• Liaise with the Operational Readiness (OR) teams to coordinate the Logistic Operational Readiness planning into the processes related to the preparation for the beginning of mining operations and mining support activities.
• Support the implementation all Management Systems related to the logistics, including Operation, Maintenance, Production Control, Health and Operational Safety, Environment and Operational Quality.
• Work with the HSE Committee to develop actions to improve safety, health, and environmental performance.
• Lead and coach members to ensure safe production behaviors are exhibited by team members.
• Develop the area\'s annual improvement plan and develop area-specific goals and objectives to achieve the annual Execution Plan and then coordinate the implementation of the improvement initiatives and track their effectiveness.
• Support the development of Execution Plan strategies and implement operating plans for the area(s) of responsibility considering targets and related actions to reduce incident frequency rates, environmental performance, production output, quality, costs and capital expenditures.
• Monitor area production and/or maintenance performance as well as asset integrity to confirm that processes are in place to maintain the plant and equipment, sustain/build capability, and to achieve the targets outlined in the Execution Plan.
• Execute Asset Integrity reviews and support development of action plans to address \'at risk\' assets.
• Implement data gathering regimes and programs to ensure systematized collection of reliable data that can continue once role is complete.
• Identify required changes to the established production and/or maintenance schedules that will impact either upstream or downstream customers.
• Analyze processes and identify common causes of variation and develop action plans to make the necessary changes to correct the common causes.
• Provide performance feedback to team members and coach and counsel employees on the process standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
• Proven project management skills and knowledge as well as experience of best practice of project management techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
