THE ROLE
The North Vancouver School District offers a variety of options for French Immersion education with the goal of producing well-educated, functionally bilingual students. Students in the program achieve a level of learning in all subject areas equivalent to that achieved by students in the English program. Working with students who are not native French speakers, you will be responsible for teaching all subjects in French.

Within a collaborative environment, develop a comprehensive understanding of curriculum with the ability to influence instruction, assessment, indigenous education, and social-emotional learning practices.
Ability to implement effective strategies to engage and support academic success for all learners in an inclusive environment
Experience in designing and applying various assessment techniques to measure and monitor student progress.
Committed to professional development with a desire to learn and implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience.
Demonstrated ability to apply relevant computer technologies to teaching and learning.
Collaborates with students, parents, and staff to enhance the school as a learning community.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
A valid BC Teaching certificate or eligibility for certification through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)A Bachelor of Education Degree (Elementary/Secondary) from a recognized university specializing in French Immersion Education.
Successful experience teaching French Immersion at the Elementary/Secondary level.
Native-like fluency in French and English.
Successful completion of senior university course work in French Immersion methodology or completion of a French Immersion Training program.
Experience in and knowledge of content and processes contained with the Elementary/Secondary French Immersion Language curriculum.

LE ROLE
Le conseil scolaire de North Vancouver offre une variete d'options pour l'enseignement en immersion francaise dans le but de produire des eleves bien instruits et fonctionnellement bilingues. Les eleves du programme atteignent un niveau d'apprentissage dans toutes les matieres equivalent a celui atteint par les eleves du programme anglais. En travaillant avec des eleves dont la langue maternelle n'est pas le francais, vous serez charge d'enseigner toutes les matieres en francais.

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSAIRES
Un certificat d'enseignement valide de la Colombie-Britannique ou l'admissibilite a la certification par le Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) de la Colombie-Britannique.
Un baccalaureat en education (elementaire) d'une universite reconnue specialisee en education d'immersion francaise.
Experience reussie de l'enseignement de l'immersion en francais au niveau elementaire.
Parfaite maitrise de l'anglais et du francais (niveau langue maternelle)
Avoir reussi un cours universitaire superieur en methodologie de l'immersion francaise ou avoir suivi un programme de formation en immersion francaise
Experience et connaissance du contenu et des processus du programme d'enseignement d'immersion francaise au niveau elementaire.
